Kids 6-9
Utilizes the LEGO® Education WeDo® robotics set to teach young students how to build fun models and then program them to move.
Students are introduced to motors and sensors, which are built into models that are then connected to a computer to be programmed using a
simple programming tool. Students build models of machines and animals, program actions and behaviors, and investigate how machines work.

Kids 10+
Integrates practical applications of computer science, math, fundamental physics, engineering, and writing into a rich and challenging course.
The curriculum includes materials designed by the Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy and the NASA Robotics Educator Program designed to foster
mathematical and engineering competency as well as technological and scientific literacy. We will utilize the LEGO MINDSTORMS® products
for this class.

Kids 10+
This class is a continuation of Robotics I. Students explore additional robotics concepts and implement concepts taught in Robotics I.
We will utilize the LEGO MINDSTORMS products for this class.
Although we utilize LEGO® materials as teaching tools, we are not a division of the LEGO Group. YES! is a community
educational enrichment program and is independently operated.

Kids 8+
A foundation concepts class, where the concepts are taught through hands-on experimentation with LEGO® models.
Examples of topics covered: forces and structures, levers, wheels and axles, gears and pulleys, etc.

Kids 8+
This class is a hands-on approach to physical science and technology. Students will work with LEGO models to learn various
physical science and technology concepts, including forces and motion, measurement, energy, and magnetism through experimentation.
Although we utilize LEGO® materials as teaching tools, we are not a division of the LEGO Group. YES! is a community
educational enrichment program and is independently operated.

Kids 8+
This class utilizes Zome© manipulatives to give your student hands-on experimentation with geometry and help them connect numbers to shapes
in the real world. They will explore symmetry and proportion, angles, area, perimeter, and polygons while working in 2 and 3 dimensions. For those
with an eye for art and pattern, we will also work with tessellations and pattern recognition.

Kids 10+
Introduction to the basic of electricity including AC and DC components. Students will explore simple circuits, symbols, practical examples,
and electricity in the home. Each week, students experience a different aspect of electricity in an engaging format.
Kids 9+
Electric Circuits will be taught using the Electric Circuits KitBook. Students will build actual circuits from the materials provided in the
book and learn how they work. This is a hands-on class. Concepts taught include simple circuits, batteries, conductors and insulators,
switches, series circuits and parallel circuits.
